David Rosencrans
David started his career in design after studying art in New York City. He
studied sculpture at the School of Visual Arts leasing to carve stone, work
with metals and glass and eventually combined these mediums in sculptures and
art furniture. He studied with an Italian third generation master stone carver,
Rene Lavaggi and became his studio assistant. A friend saw a blue granite and
steel table that he had made and asked David to design his bar and restaurant.
He has been creating original designs, lighting fixtures as well as decorative
glass table ware for the last 16 years. His projects include romantic night
spots, stylized diners, rustic restaurants, photo studio's, hair salons,
nightclubs as well as the employee dining room at the New York Stock Exchange
on Wall Street.
An artist's love of materials and an education in Feng-Shui principles are
central in his work. He has worked with Feng-Shui consultant, architect and
author R. D. Chin on high end residential projects as well as creating site
specific furniture and ornamental objects. He continues to design and license
lighting designs as well as decorative glass art.
David and Oxygen Experience™
The design concept of the Oxygen Experience™ is based on the five element
constructive cycle: an ancient system of co-coordinating colors, elements and
materials in a way that enhances the positive energy in a space and creates a
relaxing yet stimulating environment.
This plan features a blue green floor symbolic of wood and new beginnings. The
pink and red fabric used on the booths and chairs represents the fire element
and our clients should enjoy quenching their thirst and cooling out with
oxygen. The golden walls and naturally clefted stone tiles are imbued by the
earth element and white fabric panels stretched beneath a black ceiling
harmonize the metal and water elements of the cycle.
The ceiling fans centered in the space will circulate the air and our wall
mounted fountain at the entrance all combine to create an oasis for body and
spirit.
